Carpets and hard floors, chosen at home

We bring carpet samples for bedrooms, stairs and lounges, and vinyl, LVT and laminate for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways — all to your door.

Carpet styles in our range

Twist pile

The most popular style: hard-wearing, good at hiding footprints and made in a huge range of colours.

Saxony

A longer, softer pile for bedrooms and lounges with lighter traffic.

Loop and Berber

Uncut loops that make a durable surface for stairs and hallways.

Wool and blends

Natural resilience and warmth that keeps its looks.

Hard floors

Vinyl, LVT and laminate

Sheet vinyl is laid in one or two pieces with minimal seams — practical and affordable for bathrooms. LVT mimics wood, stone and ceramic closely, is very hard-wearing, and a damaged tile can be replaced almost invisibly.

Laminate gives a wood look that's easy to look after. A 10mm or 12mm board feels most like real hardwood, while 7mm or 8mm suits a tighter budget on a smooth subfloor.

Choosing the right floor

Which carpet holds up best in a hallway?

A dense carpet in wool, polypropylene or polyamide, in a darker shade, over a good underlay. Loop and tight twist piles are both strong choices.

Is underlay worth paying for?

Yes. It improves comfort, noise and insulation, and can extend a carpet's life by up to 50%. Our Silver, Gold and Platinum deals include it free.

Is LVT a good choice for kitchens?

Very. It copes well with spills, and most ranges are waterproof. LVT also resists dents and scratches better than real wood.

Which carpet is simplest to keep clean?

Polypropylene can be cleaned with diluted bleach, and nylon resists abrasion and steam cleans well.
